The Skin I'm In?

Hylunia.  That's my secret.

I've been getting lots of wonderful, ego boosting comments from my blogettes.  Thank you to my girls :) With each kind word, it keeps me on top of myself.  Remembering more often to wash my face and neck, especially before bed, don't' skimp. Exfoliate. Moisturize. Everyone is asking me what my secret is. How I stay so 'youthful' looking, toot-toot goes my horn! Well, it could be a little bit of the gene-pool, my daily eating habits, bad habits I quit many, many years ago (smoking & sun bathing). Many things factor in.

We all need to appreciate what we have (need to practice what I preach), and take preventative steps as much as we can, no matter our age. Hey, there are days I look into that mirror and say, "What the heck happened last night, who messed me up in my sleep!!?!!" Don't we all have those mirror blahs, and our perfect days?  Maybe it's the lighting, maybe how happy or not, we are that day.

How we look, is based on how we feel.  Do you believe that?  I do.

My products? Hylunia skin care products.  It's a natural, vegan product. All the products are 100% free of parabens, phosphates and fragrance, as well as cruelty free. I've been using it for nearly 4-years.  Since then, I've never had the urge to switch to anything else.

I am loyal to Hylunia, and Hylunia is loyal to me. (Do I sound like a commercial or what!)

These are my everyday go-to products:

Healing & Restoring Cream I have very dry skin, especially in Winter.  Ever since I started using this, my skin is much better.  I don't have that dry itch throughout the day.  I usually apply at night before bed as well, right before I put the jammies on to watch TV or blog. In the Summer, I apply once daily.

Colloidal Silver Spray is thee best!  I spritz it on all day, carrying a little guy in my pocket.  It's healing and refreshing.  I feel dry a lot, driving, working around the house, etc.  Perfect for plane travel.

These are my two big guns I use faithfully!
Ultimate Anti-Oxidant Treatment OMG peeps!  Anti-oxidants, anti-inflammtories!  This moisturizers my skin the best.  It has improved my skin tone, redness and fine lines.  I still have some, but hey, I'm  aged like a very extra fine wine!

Beyond Complex C Okay blogettes, this is a must have for all!  A little goes a long way, I promise.  All these products last me a long time.  It really helps with my lip lines, no lie.
This is the ultimate vitamin C serum.  This helps with redness due to rosacea also.
Intensive Repair Eye Cream Not everyone believes in eye cream.  I didn't really.  I believed that we all need a good moisturizer, and it works all over.  That's true, I'm not going to try to sell you.  The skin around the eye area is sensitive, so I like to give it a bit more of a delicate treatment.  This is my personal choice due to it's eight peptide ingredients.  There is also a Princess Forumla for dark circles.  I've used them both and they've worked great for me.

I'm 52, and I feel pretty good with what I have, and the Skin I'm In

Five skin tips to protect the skin your in through the Winter!

1. Switch to a creamy cleanser in dryer months. Avoid luffa sponges and wash cloths during the winter. Using your hands won't strip your skin of natural oils. You need those extra oils for the dry air.
2. Moisturize immediately after a shower or bath. Use a heavier cream base to avoid itchy, dry skin.
3. Exfoliate twice a week. This helps to hydrate and maintain the pH balance of all skin types. Use a natural exfoliant, not the hard luffas or seed facial scrubs.  I use the Natural Fruit Acid.
4. Toner, I do use it throughout the day.  Spritzing here and there.  I have a little purse size to carry in my pocket.  Perfecto! I actually use the Colloidal Silver Or Rose Water
5. Use a serum if your skin still feels dry after applying moisturizer. They penetrate deeper. The one I use is high in Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid
Be sure to go to the Hylunia web page.  There is so much good information for you to read about the products you could be putting on your skin.  Before you purchase, contact me here.  I could offer you reduced pricing.  Don't let the pricing scare you, haha!
There are trial size kits as well, if you don't want to purchase the full size from the start.

#AskAwayFriday #13!

Even though I've completed my month of October co-hosting with #AskAwayFriday, I still get to participate each and every Friday!  How awesome is that, to share with my peeps!?!

I have the honor of partnering with the beautiful gym-rat, sports fanatic, runner, crazy-funny and lovely, Lanaya.  She's the OCD blogger, over at Raising Reagan.  If you haven't been to her blog yet, please go hang out a while.  She's awesome, and you have to see her responses to my questions!

Here, are Lanaya's questions for me:

1. You eat RAW .. have you always been a raw food eater or do you sneak in
the occasional cheeseburger and side of fried onion rings? No I wasn't always RAW, but most of my life vegetarian.  Love being RAW 98% of the time, but I will fall off the RAW Wagon for french fries.  Ain't nobody perfect :)

2. Last week during your AAF you mentioned you wanted to be an airline
stewardess. If you could pick the First Class cabin to Paris or the First
Class cabin to Tahiti which would you choose and why? I would say Paris over and over, but since I've been there over and over and never Tahiti, I would pick Tahiti.  It look beautiful and I hear wonderful things.

3. Currently who is your favorite blog to stalk? Well, hello!  Raising-Reagan.  Who else.

4. Like you I am a flip flopaholic! Pretty sure if they had a Flip Flops
anonymous I would definitely be a member. Show me a picture of your favorite
pair. Wore these most of the summer.  Nothing spectacular, aside from comfort and PINK!

5. As an esthetician what is your favorite beauty product? Or ... should I
say if you could put ONE thing on your skin every day what would it be? If only one thing, Beyond Complex C, by Hylunia. My daily habit, twice a day.  I'll be posting about this, and other products next week I think.  Great antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, etc.  Love my skin since I started using in 2010. I do sell it too, if anyone is interested. (Tootin' my horn.)

6. I know we are still getting to know each other but in your Effie Girl
store you have some very eclectic pieces of jewelry. Which piece would you
pick out for me to wear? This isn't showing in the store yet, (procrastinator) but I think this studded snakeskin-leather, with snap closures is all about you!

7. I know you and your hubby got married in the Caymans. What is your
favorite beach in the world? Hawaii beaches.  Nothing beats the beauty from every angle and driving along the ocean.  Breathtaking!

8. I know you're a big fan of Nashville {the TV series.} Who's the better
looking guy; Eric Close {Teddy Conrad} or Charles Eston {Deacon Calybourne}? Hahah, oh this is funny.  Deacon, of course.  Teddy is too pretty, and he looks tiny.  Haha, can't have a man smaller than me :)

9. Like you I'm a fitness junkie ... What is your favorite exercise to do? Well, I had a love/hate relationship with running.  While I like to do that here and there nowadays, I guess strength training on my new toy is my most fave-crave now.
This is so awesome!
10. Tamara asked you a few weeks ago if you had a bucket list and you said
you were going to "get on that." Well, have you? Uhmmmm, nope.  (I know, I know.)

So there you have 'em!  Awesome questions.  Now don't forget, hop over to Lanaya RIGHT NOW, to see my questions, and her answers!

HAPPY FRIDAY!
