Anyway, look at this pile.
Every now and then I thumb through these, for like a second. I always put them down, make notes in them and say, "I'll look at them tonight", or tomorrow, or make time this weekend and sit outside. Then weeks go by and they pile up! I even take them to the beach and try to read them in the car. Nope! Never happens. I'm either talking to the husbter, or the pup wants to be on my lap rather than in her car seat. You'd think I'd sit outside at the beach house, nope, always on the go!
Believe it or not, I actually threw away the duplicates of five of those magazines. I had 2-3 of each. They are the "we want you to buy from us" catalogs. I always try to think of birthdays, odd things for those who have everything. Really though, don't they usually pile up closer to Christmas? I feel I'm already being bombarded. Maybe it's a hint to start holiday shopping? Ugh, the thought!
And these!! I enjoy MORE, the articles and the reality of aging. The What to Wear at 30,40,50 section. Better Homes gives me great ideas if I want to make some small changes around the house. It inspires me.
But ELLE? Wow, the stuff you read/see inside is ridic! I mean really, who is going to buy this "fashion"? I like to look at it and laugh. I wouldn't normally buy this, but it was a gift from a friend who got to send a subscription free for having one. Guess I'll be getting it for another year after, until they realize I'm not paying.
I'm going to look at these magazines of mine, this weekend! No matter what it takes. While the hubster plays Candy Crusher, I'm going to Magville!
