What the BLOG in a black pit!

So here I sit...

And that, is pretty much the look on my face.  Each day, as I try to figure out how I'm going to post every unfinished, half started DIY project and the ones still in my head.  I have plenty (lists) of ideas for posts written down. The photos for them are so far back in my log of thousands of photos, that when I have to go find them to write up the blog, I get frustrated I have so many pictures to go through.  Especially when there are dumb ones I don't need.   I'm a photo junkie.  A photo hoarder.  I very much dislike taking photos now, because I know they will end up in the black pit of editing.  I still haven't found that universal iPhone/iPad/iMac user friendly photo editing program.  iPhoto is annoying.  I have thousands of duplicates.  Why?  Who knows, probably the iCloud messing with me.  I've purchased and resold a couple of other photo programs.  Currently I have Aperture…not fun either. :(  I'm trying out DropBox, I have over 3,000 photos.  I edit on the iPhone, then it loads to DropBox and I don't have to email them to myself.  Wow, a plus! Ugh.  My own fault.  PROCRASTINATOR, you've heard that before, right? I own the word.  Never have been.  I used to always be on top of things, organized. Now, not so much.  Some days I'm not concerned, others, like today - right now, I want to scream. But, that will only upset Lucy Belle. Like she has any care in the world right now.

I've been in a real slump lately.  Wait!  Is it this doom and gloom of cold weather coming on?  Maybe, but probably not.  OMG, is this really my post today?  Yup, suffer through it peeps.  Late, as well.  I see a reoccurring trend here. This is me. In all my not-so-glorious self.   See what I'm wearing?  

My Puma pink sweatshirt and pink/green Temple jams.  And I have to leave soon to meet up with my Auntie I haven't seen in months.  Dinner.  I need to shower.  Well this was so-worth your time today, wasn't it?  I can't even apologize for it.  Yet.  Maybe after I stop this nonsense.  Until then, sorry won't mean anything if I keep repeating myself.   Blah, Blah, Blah!  I've made no sense here. *sigh* Maybe once I get over the hump.  Tomorrow.   See, you might have another day with me like this one.   Ohhh, heaven help you.   Spreading the love…one day at a time, 

Blogosphere

Happy Friday, Peeps!

This week was my first in the blogosphere, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Even though I have blogged only two posts, I'm happy :)  Because I know I'll be back next week, in full force, getting my blog on!

There are so many great blogs out there, I was reading and hopping from one blog to the next.  I see a lot of talented, funny people.  Many great writers out there. (Tough following!) Everyone has a reason to be out here in the blogging world and I enjoy reading yours.  So thank you for sharing!

While surfing the internet today I wanted to look up the exact definition of "blogosphere".
I sure did find some interesting things, of course too much to put up here.

One site I read had this to say:

• Imagine a million lunatics wandering the streets mumbling to themselves. Write it all down and put it on the web. Congratulations, you've just created the blogosphere.

I'll say we are happy lunatics, just wandering around in our lives, figuring out what we want to share, teach, or rant about, because we can. And just maybe, what we have to share, teach, or rant about on our post inspires others, or makes them laugh, or even have a good cry :) but never a waste of time.

First post ~ First box!

I am so excited!  Because today is my first official post, on my new blog site! And thank you so very much for stopping by. To think I was nervous about being myself, just an everyday girl!  Well, not today.

Not only is this my first blog post, but also I received a second 'mystery box'! If you are not familiar with these, they are boxes filled with girlie samples (or full sized) fun stuff.  I call it a mystery box because you never know what they will ship to you next, or what they might have you pick from.  There are several different 'boxes' out there to purchase one-time, monthly or even quarterly; but I just couldn't decide, so I picked 3! Or was it 4? I'm sure I'll narrow it down at some point, maybe.

First up, Julep - I'm a Maven!

It's all in the packaging, right?  That's what I say.  The pink and black is right up my alley.  It said my style is Boho Glam, a dynamic free spirit with a creative eye. I thought about that (uhm, no), I think I'm the "Classic With A Twist! An iconic beauty with a timeless aesthetic". Hey, if I can change who I am with a click of a mouse, I'm going for it. I wasn't disappointed with my contents, however, I gave the nail polish to my sister (who is all about nails, and I do have colors similar to these).  

CONTENTS: 2 nail polishes, nail file, glycolic hand scrub, sample polish remover pad (all Julep)

PROS: 

I recieved my first box!

Love the hand scrub

Nail polish dries fairly quick

CONS:

Too dark for me for summer

Polish is too thick, makes for sloppy polishing for shorter nails

Polish stained my nails (I'm a nail polish snob, I like color or clear at any moment. This wasn't ideal.)

Next up, Ipsy!

My first Ipsy box

Packaging...AWESOME!  I was loving this bright'n shiny pink mailing envelope.  Pretty snail-mail makes me happy. (I gotta' have some of those.) I definitely got more for my money with this box.  The shimmery pale pink polish, I'm usually shy with shimmer, but it's good for a gloomy rainy day. 

CONTENTS: Zoya pink Gie Gie nail polish, Sheer Pixie lipstick, Yaby concealer sample, Anastasia clear brow gel, Pacifica roll-on perfume, a cute colorful cosmetic (or anything) bag

PROS: 

A lot for a little

Lipstick is sheer and moisturizing, with a hint of coral 

Nice colorful glam bag

CONS:

I'll see how the perfume plays with my allergies, but that's my con (so far, so good)

Polish needs several coats if you want no see-thru nails/lines
